Last week we successfully interconnected Visiontel over SS7 with PTCL for their local loop service. PTA tested and verified the service. We’re looking forward to a successful commencement from them later on this range. We used Asterisk, with LibSS7, Sangoma Wanpipe E1 cards on Intel 1U Rackmount servers. Rock solid so far.

Today we received notice from our customer, that the Pakistan Telecommunications Authority had formally issued the Letter of Commencement to Visiontel.
We’d like to thank Khalid Sb, Aitzaz and Shaukat Sb for their diligence and hard work during this process, that enabled Visiontel Telecommunications to be a full fledged Licensed Local Loop operator in the Lahore region.
We look forward to helping them roll out commercial services.
